Former President Trump Joins Forces with Turning Point USA for Glendale Rally

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Former President Donald Trump is set to return to Arizona on Friday, August 23, to hold a campaign rally, as confirmed by the Trump campaign over the weekend. This event will take place at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, coinciding with Vice President Kamala Harris’s acceptance of the Democratic nomination in Chicago the previous day.
The rally, organized in conjunction with Turning Point USA, will open its doors at noon, with Trump scheduled to address supporters at 4 p.m. Registration for tickets is currently available.
This rally occurs shortly after Vice President Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz drew a crowd of 15,000 at the same venue just two weeks prior. Trump’s visit follows a rally featuring his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, at Arizona Christian University, held less than a month ago.
Arizona has emerged as a pivotal swing state for the upcoming 2024 election, especially now that President Joe Biden has stepped aside, placing Harris at the forefront of the Democratic ticket. Recent polling from the New York Times and Siena College indicates that Harris currently leads Trump by a narrow margin among likely voters, 50 percent to 45 percent.
