Construction has been underway on State Route 238, with notable projects emerging in the city of Maricopa. Recently issued permits from February 11 to March 10 showcase a variety of developments, indicating a bustling growth in the area.

Among the significant commercial permits is one from Apex Landco for a multi-level garage, valued at $4.6 million. Another notable project involves a tenant improvement permit for Barro’s Pizza, located at 21101 N. John Wayne Parkway, Suite 106.

In residential developments, D.R. Horton has secured a $60,000 permit for a swimming pool and spa at Elena Trails, awarded to Red Rock Contractors. Meanwhile, Gidco Holdings received a permit to add a mechanical screening wall on the roof of a building at 45115 W. Garvey Ave.

An impressive 16 at-risk foundation permits have been issued for Gunsmoke Ranch Apartments, valuing approximately $392,000. Additional permits for Ironwood Ranch Apartments include multiple shade structures, valued at $196,000.

Aztec Ventures is also making strides, obtaining a tenant improvement permit for renovations at 20800 N. John Wayne Parkway, Suite 116, for La Michoacana, along with a demolition permit to facilitate redesign efforts.

Another key project includes a new O’Reilly Auto Parts store at 17516 N. Shea Way, with an estimated value of $1.18 million. Furthermore, DBG Properties has been granted a shade structure permit for a parking canopy at Reinsman Commons.

In residential permits, Beazer Homes has plans to construct a single home in Rancho Mirage. Similarly, Castlerock Communities is set to build five homes in El Rancho Santa Rosa, highlighting the ongoing demand for housing in these regions.

Multiple construction projects are in progress, including five homes each from D.R. Horton and Gehan Homes. Other builders, such as K. Hovnanian Homes and Lennar Arizona, are also contributing to the housing landscape with new developments.

Meritage Homes has ambitious plans to construct 21 homes in Rancho Mirage, while Pulte Home Company aims for 14 homes in El Rancho Santa Rosa. With these initiatives, the real estate market in Maricopa continues to thrive.
