Famous Dave Makes a Delicious Comeback to Maricopa

Wendy’s is set to expand its footprint in Maricopa, Arizona, with plans for a new restaurant. The Columbus, Ohio-based chain has proposed a second location at 41980 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, according to documents acquired through a public records request.
This new outlet will bolster Wendy’s presence in the area, joining other fast-food establishments like Taco Bell and Slim Chickens in The Wells shopping center. While specific details have been limited, a conceptual site plan reveals that the building will cover 2,200 square feet, feature a drive-thru lane, and provide 22 parking spaces. It will be situated next to Maricopa Kids’ Dentists and Orthodontics.
The introduction of Wendy’s to Maricopa isn’t entirely new; the city welcomed its first restaurant in 2019, which opened in the former Carl’s Jr. space on John Wayne Parkway. With this latest proposal, Wendy’s aims to further satisfy local demand for fast-food options.
This expansion reflects Maricopa’s growing dining scene, catering to an increase in residents and visitors alike. As the city evolves, the competition among fast-food chains will likely intensify.
