Family, police continue to search for missing Peoria teen

PEORIA, Ariz. — A 14-year-old boy named Landon Peru has been reported missing since March 24, raising concerns among his family and the community. The Peoria Police Department confirmed that he was last seen at Desert Harbor Elementary School around 3 p.m. that day.

Family and friends held a search gathering at a local park on Wednesday night, growing increasingly anxious as days pass without any word. Peru’s mother, Mari, expressed her deep worry, stating, “I feel like I’m searching for a needle in a haystack.” She believes his disappearance may be linked to emotional struggles following her recent divorce and her battle with breast cancer.

Though experiencing difficulty, Mari noted that Landon’s decision to go missing is unusual for him. With tears in her eyes, she reached out directly to her son, urging him to return home. “Landon, please, if you’re seeing this, please, you’re not in trouble. Just please come home,” she said, emphasizing her concern for his well-being.

Landon is described as being 5’7″ tall with brown hair and brown/hazel eyes. On the day he went missing, he was wearing a gray crewneck sweater and baggy black pants. Authorities ask anyone with information about Landon’s whereabouts to call the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8311.
