Extreme heat continues through Tuesday with records in reach today!

PHOENIX — Arizona is bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures soaring between 110 and 117 degrees through Tuesday. Extreme Heat Warnings have been issued as major heat risks develop across the lower deserts.

Forecasters anticipate an influx of monsoonal moisture this week, increasing the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms, particularly from Tuesday to Thursday. These weather patterns are expected to primarily affect the higher elevations of Arizona.

However, a reduction in moisture will lead to a notable decline in storm activity over the July 4th holiday weekend, bringing temperatures closer to seasonal averages.

**MONDAY:** 116/92 Record heat!

**TUESDAY:** 114/89 Extreme heat.

**THURSDAY:** 102/85 Isolated thunderstorms.
