Exorcism Claims: 23-Year-Old Charged with Mother’s Murder, Body Photos Shared on Snapchat

In a tragic incident in Fort Worth, Texas, a 23-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges following the death of his mother. The suspect, identified as Alexander Taylor Valdez, allegedly killed 58-year-old Teresita Sayson and subsequently shared images of the crime via Snapchat.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Valdez struck his mother with a blunt object multiple times, resulting in her death. Police received an anonymous tip around 1:32 a.m. on Friday regarding a disturbing image shared in a Snapchat group, which depicted a woman lying on the ground covered in blood.
Upon arrival at the scene on Farmers Branch Street, officers were met by Valdez, who had blood splatters on his body and was holding a Bible. He reportedly claimed to have performed an exorcism, stating, “I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom,” when questioned about the blood on him. He also revealed to police, “There is a dead body in there. It’s my mom.”
When officers entered the residence, they discovered Sayson in the main bedroom, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 2:53 a.m. A deceased dog was also found in the same room. The gruesome nature of the scene prompted significant concern among Valdez’s friends, who received the photographs he had shared. One friend, upon viewing the image, warned others not to open it and rushed to the scene, ultimately informing the authorities.
Valdez was transported to the Fort Worth homicide office for questioning but opted not to answer any inquiries, instead requesting legal representation. Further investigation involved executing a search warrant at the home, where authorities located a broken jewelry box with blood and hair, linking it further to the alleged crime. Currently, Alexander Taylor Valdez faces one count of murder as the investigation continues.
