Exciting New ‘Oasis Eateries’ Food Truck Court Set to Debut by Year’s End
A new food truck court is set to debut on Swanson Avenue, potentially opening by the end of the year. The initiative, spearheaded by Rudy Candito, who previously ran Rebel BBQ, aims for a festive launch around Christmas, although a January opening is also possible.
This food truck court will feature four permanent food trucks, each offering a diverse range of cuisines. Candito believes that by having trucks stay long-term, customers will enjoy a consistent experience, knowing their favorite options will always be available. “I’d rather have it where when somebody finds something they like, they know they can go back there and get it,” he stated.
In addition to food, the establishment plans to serve a variety of beverages. Candito is currently pursuing a liquor license to offer wine, beer, and blended drinks, such as piña coladas. Two covered patio areas will include seating, ensuring a comfortable dining experience regardless of weather conditions.
A 1,000-square-foot building will provide restrooms and a commissary kitchen, facilitating food preparation and storage for the trucks. Candito is dedicated to creating an aesthetically pleasing environment, customizing elements like pavers and fences to enhance the overall appeal.
For added comfort during the summer, features like fans, misters, and umbrellas will be introduced in the seating areas. The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional use permit for the project in April 2023, and construction commenced several weeks ago. The food truck court will be situated at 201 Swanson Avenue, conveniently located across from Movies Havasu and near the entrance to Rotary Park.
