Exceptional Pets to Shut Its Doors in Just 6 Days
Exceptional Pets, a veterinary clinic serving the Maricopa and Mesa communities, will close its doors permanently on November 20, 2024, after five years in operation. The owners announced the decision to their clients yesterday, citing ongoing challenges stemming from a nationwide veterinary shortage and the current economic climate.
In a statement, the clinic’s owners expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve local pets and their owners. “Our team is so grateful for many wonderful years of serving pets in our community,” they said. The unexpected closure has left many pet owners in Maricopa searching for new veterinary options.
Local resident Clint Wooton voiced his disappointment, stating, “So sad, we have personally received excellent service for our dogs from Exceptional Pets.” The clinic, which took over the former Pet Club location in Maricopa in 2019, quickly became a trusted provider for pet care in the area.
In light of Exceptional Pets’ closure, Maricopa pet parents have alternative options for veterinary care. Facilities such as Maricopa Animal Hospital, Maricopa Wells Veterinary Hospital, and the Petco vaccination clinic remain available to help meet the community’s needs.
