Exceptional Community Hospital in Maricopa has appointed Dr. Brad Russell Green as its new medical director, effective immediately. This transition comes as Dr. Paul Gilbert, the former medical director, moves on to oversee Exceptional Healthcare’s new location in Prescott.
The hospital’s management expressed confidence in Dr. Green’s capabilities. “Dr. Gilbert’s leadership has been instrumental in establishing a high standard of care at Exceptional Community Hospital, and we look forward to Dr. Green continuing that positive momentum,” stated a press release issued on Monday.
Dr. Green is no stranger to leadership roles, having previously served as the assistant medical director at Exceptional Community Hospital. His extensive experience also includes past medical director positions at Chandler Regional Medical Center, Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital, and Carlsbad Medical Center.
Bruce McVeigh, the chief operating officer, highlighted Dr. Green’s expertise. “His passion for innovative care makes him the ideal choice to lead our team in Maricopa,” McVeigh said. He added that the hospital is eager to advance its mission of providing exceptional, patient-centered care under Dr. Green’s guidance.
Dr. Green’s credentials are impressive. He has made significant contributions to emergency medicine, simulation education, and has held faculty positions at renowned institutions, including New York University and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This extensive background will enhance Exceptional Community Hospital’s commitment to excellence in patient care.
The new medical director completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University, and finished his residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
