A recent report by Mixbook has revealed that three cities in Arizona—Lake Havasu City, Prescott, and Glendale—rank among the most popular holiday light displays in the United States. While these cities have gained recognition, the list is overwhelmingly led by Christmas displays from New York, California, and Hawaii. Specifically, Lake Havasu City placed 53rd, Prescott 110th, and Glendale 119th out of 3,000 families surveyed nationwide.

This year’s 29th Annual Festival of Lights in Lake Havasu City features over 500,000 lights illuminating the iconic London Bridge over the Bridgewater Channel. Residents and visitors can stroll along the walkway beneath the historic bridge, a British 19th-century structure that spans the River Thames. The event is designed to be enjoyed both on foot and from the water, allowing boaters to marvel at the impressive display.

In Prescott, which was designated as Arizona’s Christmas City by former Governor Rose Mofford in 1989, the holiday spirit thrives with festivities leading up to a grand fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. According to Mixbook, the Courthouse Plaza serves as the centerpiece, enchanting visitors with a million twinkling lights and a nostalgic holiday atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Glendale’s annual event, Glendale Glitters, transforms the Valley of the Sun with a stunning arrangement of lights complemented by interactive features and holiday displays. Despite the kickoff parade being held earlier, the festive lights will remain on view until January 1st, lighting up the downtown area from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The city encourages residents and visitors to embrace the holiday spirit by enjoying local shopping and treats while experiencing the magical environment.

A representative from Mixbook emphasized the unifying power of these holiday displays, stating, “As the holiday season approaches, these incredible light displays remind us of the magic that comes from bringing communities together. Whether it’s a neighborhood effort, a citywide festival, or a creative masterpiece, these displays capture the spirit of the season and give us all a reason to celebrate.”
