A new free tutoring community program is set to launch on January 11, 2025, aimed at youth from kindergarten through the 8th grade. Hosted at South Mountain Community College located at 7050 South 24th Street, the registration will begin at 8:30 AM.

The recent pandemic caused significant learning setbacks for many students, and although they have returned to in-person classes for three years, some still struggle to catch up. This program aims to address those gaps and support academic recovery.

Classes will occur on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from January to May. Participants will benefit from provided breakfast and lunch, fostering a welcoming environment. Certified teachers will lead engaging sessions designed to simplify challenging subjects, promoting an enjoyable learning experience.

The initiative focuses on enhancing students’ comprehension of essential academic requirements, enabling them to thrive in their weekday classes. Interactive activities in math, science, and language arts will not only bolster their knowledge but also instill a love for learning.
