Studio tour offers unique experience

Work by ceramics artists Thuy Autrey (pictured), Deborah Garland, Karen Graham, and Colette Matrango will be showcased at Studio 14 during the Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale.

The Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, and Sunday, Nov. 10, in the Valley. Celebrating its 17th year, the event will feature over 40 local artists, providing attendees with the chance to explore 14 home studios and discover unique art pieces.

Lynn Gustafson, the event organizer and a member of the South Scottsdale Art Alliance, expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity the event provides artists to engage with art enthusiasts. “It’s a wonderful chance to connect,” she noted. The tour not only showcases local talent but also encourages visitors to purchase original artworks, perfect for personal enjoyment or as holiday gifts.

This year’s offerings will span a variety of mediums, highlighting handmade masterpieces created by local artists. Attendees can interact with these creators during this self-guided experience. The tour’s locations range from 40th Street and Camelback Road to 44th Street and McDonald, encompassing areas in mid-Phoenix, south Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley.

Admission to the event is free, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Additional details, including a printable map, can be accessed at www.camelbackstudiotour.com.
