Duke’s Roadhouse Set to Make Its Grand Debut Next Month

Duke’s Roadhouse, a highly anticipated restaurant and music venue in Chandler, will officially open its doors on June 2.
Owner Steve Kovach announced that this establishment will be the city’s largest combined restaurant, bar, and music venue, complete with an open-air patio and balcony. Live performances are scheduled from Thursday to Sunday.
“We’re excited to welcome the public on June 2,” Kovach stated in an interview.
The initial days of service will be reservation-only from 4 to 6 p.m., a strategy designed to manage high demand. Following these early days, operations will shift to a first-come, first-served basis.
With seating for 260 guests and an additional 30 at the bar, the venue boasts an adaptable all-weather patio that can accommodate guests regardless of the weather. Kovach anticipates a vibrant bar scene as patrons wait for tables.
Architect Mark Tomecak revealed that the venue will encompass 7,800 square feet, featuring 2,100 square feet dedicated to outdoor seating.
Pre-opening excitement is evident, as Duke’s has already garnered a 5-star rating on Google with 13 reviews, with many praising its food and ambiance weeks before its official launch.
Kovach is engaging with potential customers by offering free merchandise and wait-list spots in response to the enthusiastic early reviews.
As the community buzzes with anticipation, local residents have inquired about future events, including line dancing nights. Kovach confirmed, “Absolutely! Come enjoy live music and dancing every Wednesday through Sunday.”
While the restaurant opens on June 2, live music will commence on June 4. Details on music schedules and reservation options will be available on the Duke’s Roadhouse website shortly.
This new venue occupies the former A1 Pawn building, which has been demolished for its development, situated directly across from the Amtrak station at 19395 N. John Wayne Parkway.
Duke’s Roadhouse represents a new chapter for Kovach, who previously launched The Stillery in Nashville in 2015, expanding to six locations, including Chandler in 2020 and north Phoenix in 2022.
“Tell a friend, tell a newspaper. It’s finally happening,” Kovach emphasized, reflecting his excitement for the upcoming opening.
