Maricopa is gearing up for a festive weekend with the introduction of pedal boats at Copper Sky Park. The boats, which include whimsical designs like ducks, dragons, and swans, will officially launch alongside the Wild West Music Fest on April 1, 2025.

Attendees of the festival will have exclusive access to the boats this weekend, as they are located within the event’s secured area. Only those holding Wild West Music Fest tickets will be allowed to board. Starting Monday, the boats will open to the public, expanding recreational options at Copper Sky Fun Rentals.

However, the festival’s setup will impact accessibility to nearby areas. While Copper Sky Dog Park will remain open, festival-related congestion and limited parking will likely cause delays. Monica Williams, a spokeswoman for Maricopa, noted that despite these challenges, the park will not enforce a complete closure.

Williams advises residents to anticipate increased noise and longer access times, particularly during festival hours. For those looking to exercise their pets, Pacana Park Dog Park is available this weekend as an alternative to the one near Copper Sky.

With new activities and community events, Maricopa is set for a lively weekend ahead, providing fun and engagement for residents and visitors alike.
