Drunk Driver Plows Into Pedestrian in Shocking BMW Incident, Say Cops

In a surprising turn of events in Santa Rosa Springs, a drunk driving incident was witnessed by officers of the Maricopa Police Department early Sunday morning. At approximately 12:33 a.m., authorities were on Lago Street when they observed a black BMW and a man walking in front of it.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Aleyana D. Bradley, allegedly accelerated the vehicle, striking the man who landed on the hood and windshield. The force of the collision sent him into a nearby Waste Management trashcan once she brought the car to a halt, according to a probable cause statement.
Officers noted significant damage to the vehicle’s windshield and detected the smell of alcohol on Bradley’s breath. Initially agitated and uncooperative, she later confessed to having consumed alcohol prior to driving.
The victim was promptly transported to Chandler Regional Hospital for treatment, while Bradley was taken to Exceptional Community Hospital in Maricopa to undergo a blood draw. The results of this blood test are currently pending at the state lab.
Following the incident, Bradley was booked on charges of aggravated assault, with additional charges expected as the investigation continues. If convicted, she faces a maximum of five years in prison for the assault charge.
