TEMPE, Ariz. — An attempted traffic stop resulted in a crash on Monday evening, leaving one person in custody, as reported by the Tempe Police Department.

Officers initiated the stop in the area of Baseline Road and Hardy Drive. However, the driver fled the scene. Authorities did not pursue the vehicle but later located it after it collided with another car nearby.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries from the incident. Emergency services attended to the scene, and Hardy Drive was temporarily closed but is expected to reopen shortly.
