A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision with a car at the intersection of Vintage Drive and Rancho El Dorado Parkway. The incident occurred yesterday morning, prompting a swift response from the Maricopa Police Department (MPD) and Maricopa Fire/Medical Department shortly before 11:30 a.m.

According to MPD spokesperson Monica Williams, the accident took place when a car driving west attempted a left turn onto Vintage Drive, failing to yield to the motorcycle that was traveling straight through the intersection. The two vehicles collided, resulting in significant injuries to the motorcyclist.

Emergency responders reported that although two individuals required transport to the hospital, one was later determined to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car remained on scene and received a citation for failure to yield.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, with authorities emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic laws to prevent similar incidents in the future.
