Dramatic Rescue: Tenants Saved as Tree Crashes into Scottsdale Apartments

Occupants in one apartment were trapped and have since been freed. Sixteen other residents are being evacuated.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A tree fell onto an apartment complex in Scottsdale during Tuesday’s monsoon storms, leaving several residents trapped inside.

Fire department officials swiftly responded to the incident near Hayden Road and East Via de Ventura. All trapped occupants were safely rescued, and sixteen additional apartments were evacuated to ensure structural safety.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident.
