Dramatic Car Crash Sends Vehicle Plunging into Alterra Ditch

Maricopa police responded to a single-vehicle accident in the Alterra neighborhood around 11:45 p.m. on September 12, 2024. A woman reportedly lost control of her Chevrolet truck, causing it to crash into a ditch near the intersection of North Roosevelt Avenue and West Juniper Avenue.

Emergency crews from Maricopa Fire and Medical, including Ladder 574, were dispatched to the scene quickly. Fortunately, the woman did not sustain any injuries that required hospitalization, as confirmed by responding officers.

Roosevelt Avenue was temporarily blocked to facilitate the clearing of the crash site. Around 12:30 a.m., Knight Towing arrived to recover the vehicle from the ditch. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are expected to release further details as they become available.
