“Dramatic Auto Theft Bust: Weapons Drawn as Two Arrested for Drugs at Ak-Chin Casino”
Two individuals were detained last week by the Ak-Chin Police Department on charges related to auto theft and drug offenses in Pinal County.
The arrested suspects have been identified as 56-year-old Jeffrey Jacobsen and 53-year-old Janice Nobbe. They are scheduled to make their initial appearance in Pinal County Superior Court tomorrow, with bond set at $2,500 for each.
According to Ak-Chin police spokesman Matthew Benson, the arrests occurred on August 19. Around 1 p.m., officers from the Ak-Chin Police Department, in conjunction with the Maricopa Police Department, apprehended a passenger in a stolen vehicle parked at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino. The driver was located and arrested inside the casino.
Both suspects were subsequently booked into the Pinal County Detention Center. Witness Craig Chojnowski, a resident of Glennwilde, noted that “guns were drawn” during the law enforcement operation.
