Double the Delight: 85-Year-Old Twins Dazzle in Matching Outfits for Thanksgiving
In Arizona, the bond between fraternal twins Sandra Power and Sharon Kingsly exemplifies the essence of familial connection. This Thanksgiving, the sisters, who are celebrating 85 years of life together, share a unique narrative of companionship and resilience.
Born in Iowa in 1939, just thirty minutes apart, Sandra and Sharon met their husbands at a high school dance in Cedar Falls. Their lives have been intertwined ever since. Following the deaths of both their husbands, the twins have strengthened their relationship, spending alternating weeks at each other’s homes in Sun City and Gilbert.
“We go to different stores, we look, and if we can’t buy two, we don’t buy them,” Sharon remarked, highlighting their dedication to each other’s happiness. This Thanksgiving, they donned matching Lilo and Stitch sweaters, showcasing their personalities and connection.
The sisters engage in activities like singing, dancing, and shopping together, which has been therapeutic following their losses. “I’m so happy with my family,” Sharon expressed, emphasizing their mutual support. Their collaborative spirit pulses through every interaction, making their bond a remarkable story of love and resilience.
As they cherish their time together, Sandra and Sharon remind us of the importance of family, particularly during the holidays. Their journey inspires those around them, resonating the message that bonds can grow even stronger in the face of adversity.
