Diamondbacks Team Up with 12News to Deliver Exciting Game Coverage

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks have partnered with 12News to broadcast 10 games during the 2025 baseball season. This unique agreement marks the first time in the franchise’s history that local viewers will have free, over-the-air access to a series of Diamondbacks games.
The schedule kicks off on April 25, featuring a matchup against the Atlanta Braves. Other games include high-stakes contests against teams like the Dodgers, Nationals, and Red Sox, with dates that are subject to modification.
“We are thrilled to extend the excitement of baseball to more fans through this historic partnership,” said Derrick Hall, Diamondbacks’ President and CEO. “This model allows for a wider audience to experience a taste of the regular season while preserving our collaboration with existing pay TV partners.”
Kate Morris, President and General Manager of 12News, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the shared commitment both organizations have towards the Arizona community. “We’re dedicated to bringing exciting live baseball while also telling the stories behind the team,” she stated. “Our program ‘D-backs on Deck’ will enhance this experience by offering in-depth coverage and analysis.”
Before each game, fans can tune in for a special one-hour show called “D-backs on Deck,” which will include insights and interviews from the team, hosted by sports anchors Cameron Cox, Lina Washington, and Jake Garcia. This show will debut on March 27, coinciding with the station’s Opening Day coverage.
The partnership highlights Phoenix’s vibrant sports culture, home to major teams across multiple leagues, including the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals and the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. Major sporting events, from the WM Phoenix Open to the Cactus League Spring Training, continue to enhance the city’s reputation as a key destination for sports enthusiasts.
