Deadly Stabbing Erupts After Fight in Central Phoenix, Authorities Report

PHOENIX — A late-night altercation in central Phoenix escalated into a fatal stabbing on Friday near 16th and Roosevelt streets, as reported by local authorities.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of a physical fight involving two men. Upon arrival, they discovered one man had sustained critical injuries from a stab wound.

Emergency services transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have yet to release his identity.

Police soon determined that the other individual involved in the confrontation remained in the vicinity. He was apprehended shortly thereafter, though his name has also not been disclosed.
