Deadly Shooting Erupts in Central Phoenix, Man Loses Life

PHOENIX — A man has died following a shooting that occurred on Friday night in central Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Authorities responded to reports of gunfire near Eighth Street and Montecito Avenue around 7:20 p.m. The area is located northwest of Seventh Street and Indian School Road, adjacent to Steele Indian School Park.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators remain on-site, examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting. As of now, police have not disclosed the victim’s identity or released any details regarding potential suspects.
