Dad’s Death Threats Escalate as Son’s Girlfriend Becomes Victim, Police Reveal

A man in Maricopa, Arizona, has been charged with domestic violence after a chaotic incident that left his son’s girlfriend injured. According to the Maricopa Police Department, the series of events unfolded early yesterday morning at a residence on Catherine Drive.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly before 2 a.m. in response to a report of domestic violence. Their investigation revealed that the suspect, 47-year-old Jordan Myers, had been in a violent altercation with his father, who was attempting to leave the home.
During the confrontation, Myers allegedly threatened his father repeatedly, stating, “I’ll beat you to death.” As the situation escalated, he swung at his father but missed—striking his son’s girlfriend instead, according to police reports.
Law enforcement attempted to intervene, warning Myers that he could face arrest if he continued his threats. However, he allegedly reiterated his intentions to harm his father in front of the responding officers.
Myers was subsequently arrested and taken to the Pinal County jail. He has been charged with multiple offenses, including threatening, criminal nuisance, and disorderly conduct, all associated with domestic violence. He now faces the possibility of over a year in jail.
