Crooks Smash Their Way into Maricopa Dispensary with Brutal Force

A break-in occurred at the Trulieve dispensary in Maricopa early on April 14, 2025, resulting in considerable damage. The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. when police responded to an alarm and discovered signs of forced entry.
While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have not confirmed what was stolen or the full extent of the damages. Despite the incident, operations at the dispensary continued with customers visiting throughout the morning.
Onlookers noted a tense atmosphere as a staff member declined to comment to a reporter, expressing curiosity about the media presence. Trulieve management also refrained from discussing the incident in a brief phone call, citing directives not to engage with the press.
Maricopa police have yet to identify any suspects in connection with the break-in. In a prior communication regarding the dispensary’s zoning permit, Police Chief Mark Goodman warned that establishments like Trulieve often become targets for theft due to the cash and valuable products they hold, suggesting that enhanced security measures would be prudent.
