Southbound I-17 closed at Camelback Road due to crash

PHOENIX — A severe traffic collision transpired Sunday night on Interstate 17 at Camelback Road, milepost 204, leading to notable disruptions. At least one individual sustained serious injuries, according to reports from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).

DPS confirmed that troopers are currently addressing the “serious injury” incident on the southbound lanes of I-17. As a result, these lanes have been entirely shut down, compelling drivers to seek alternative routes.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has cautioned drivers to anticipate delays in the vicinity. Despite the southbound lanes being closed, the northbound lanes remain unaffected by the crash.
