Authorities apprehended two individuals in connection with the recovery of stolen landscaping equipment in Hidden Valley on January 29, 2025. The arrests stemmed from the theft of a Ford F-150 and its trailer, valued at approximately $13,500, which was taken shortly after 4 a.m. on the same day near Honeycutt Avenue.

Maricopa police identified the primary suspect, 30-year-old Luis Alejandro Durand Magallanes. He allegedly drove the stolen vehicle at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, leaving the GPS system active as he headed to a rural neighborhood just south of Maricopa. The GPS trace led authorities to a residence on North Sage Street, where both the truck and trailer were located.

In addition to Magallanes, officers found Jessica Lee Blake, 37, at the Sage Street property. Blake, who resides near Coolidge, was arrested amid an ongoing investigation. Details regarding the ownership of the property or its connection to the suspects remain unclear.

During questioning, detectives observed Blake discarding an item that was recognized as drug paraphernalia linked to fentanyl use. Blake admitted ownership of the item and further acknowledged its purpose. In addition, authorities discovered a fentanyl pill and 2 grams of crystal meth in her possession, alongside a Starbucks drink. Despite her earlier confession, Blake claimed the illicit drugs did not belong to her.

Blake faces multiple drug-related charges as well as a statewide arrest warrant from a 2021 narcotics case. Her prior offenses place her at risk of receiving a 15-year sentence under Arizona law. Meanwhile, Magallanes could face over 20 years due to the nature of his offenses.
