Cooler Breezes and Winds to Invade Arizona This Weekend

Arizona is preparing for a notable weather shift this weekend, bringing cooler temperatures, increased winds, and a chance of rain.
PHOENIX — Forecasts indicate a substantial change, with Sunday and Monday afternoon highs settling in the 70s across the Valley. This transition will not only usher in cooler conditions but also heightened winds and potential precipitation, particularly in elevated regions—raising concerns for fire hazards.
In the mountainous areas, precipitation could mix with snow, potentially falling as low as 6,500 feet from Sunday through Tuesday. However, significant accumulation is not anticipated near Flagstaff.
This period of cooler weather is expected to persist into next week, accompanied by a slight chance of showers and daytime temperatures remaining in the 80s through Wednesday.
