Construction Crews Gear Up to Expand Edwards Avenue

Road construction is set to commence on Edwards Avenue starting Monday, affecting travel routes near Maricopa High School. The project is expected to continue until December, requiring motorists to be cautious.

Tempe-based Nesbitt Contracting will undertake the widening of Edwards Avenue between Taft and Maricopa roads. The scope of the work includes improvements to curbs, pavement, sidewalks, and the installation of street lighting, as outlined by city officials.

While lane restrictions will be in place during the construction, officials assure the public that the roadway will remain accessible in both directions.
