On Election Day, American Majority Action (AMA) announced significant efforts toward engaging voters in Arizona, reporting over 600,000 live conversations aimed at conservative voters. With record early voting numbers, AMA claimed to have surpassed 3.25 million voter contacts within its targeted group.

Tracy DuCharme, Arizona Executive Director for AMA, emphasized the initiative’s focus on boosting absentee ballot requests. In her statement, she noted, “We are working to change the voting behavior of low propensity conservative voters. Our strategy includes face-to-face interactions at doors, as well as phone calls and personalized text messages.”

AMA’s data revealed a notable success with absentee ballots, highlighting that 68.98% of conservatives who requested one had returned it. DuCharme highlighted the efficacy of direct engagement: “While many are weary of media bombardment, personal conversations about pressing issues resonate deeply.”

The group attributed its outreach success to innovative canvassing technology, stating, “Face-to-face conversations enhance voter engagement and have been shown to significantly increase turnout.” Their efforts, which utilized Voter Gravity’s technology, aimed to micro-target voters efficiently.

As early voting statistics were released, the Arizona Mirror reported that 785,231 Republicans had voted early, marking a turnout of 52.71%. In comparison, early votes cast included 643,450 Democrats and 466,140 independents.

While final results for the 2024 election remain pending, President Donald Trump has been declared the winner of Arizona’s eleven electoral votes. In the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego leads Republican Kari Lake, with 1,381,684 votes to Lake’s 1,348,362 votes.
