Family, friends gather to remember Valley mother who was allegedly killed by her husband

Investigation into Aliccia Grant’s death continues, husband Stephen Dennis charged with second-degree murder

TEMPE, Ariz. — The community is mourning the loss of Aliccia Grant, whose vibrant spirit touched many lives. Her father, Cameron Grant, expressed the profound impact she had on those around her, noting her infectious smile and enthusiasm.

Thursday evening, a memorial gathered friends and family at the Aveda Institute in Tempe, a place where Aliccia not only refined her skills in beauty but also served as an instructor, fostering relationships that now serve as a testament to her character.

“She just had a love of life and would do anything for her friends,” a heartfelt Cameron Grant remarked as attendees shared cherished memories amidst their tears.

In a tragic turn of events, Aliccia Grant was found stabbed to death on September 9, near Cave Creek and Thunderbird roads in Phoenix. Authorities report that her husband, Stephen Dennis, has been charged with second-degree murder and confessed to the act, though the motive remains unclear.

As Aliccia’s family grapples with the senseless nature of this tragedy, they are focusing on nurturing her two children, a 15-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with their care, highlighting the community’s support during this difficult time.

“Her laugh and her ability to embrace joy were remarkable,” said Cameron Grant, who now carries with him the memories of how deeply Aliccia touched so many lives. “It’s overwhelmingly joyful to see the love she inspired in others.”
