Commercial Plaza and Townhomes Set to Transform 7 Ranches Community

Maricopa is set to expand its commercial landscape with a new retail project in the 7 Ranches area. Plans for a commercial plaza have emerged, aimed to accommodate small retail businesses on a site located at the intersection of Santi and Jericho Roads.

The proposed development will feature 20 commercial suites along Santi Road, along with 41 townhomes situated behind the plaza. Documentation from a recent public records request indicates that ABC Rentals, an equipment rental company based in Eloy and owned by Oscar Chaparro, is behind this initiative.

This commercial plaza marks the second significant project proposed for the region in a short timeframe. Scottsdale-based De Rito Partners Development has also submitted plans to build a 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station to the north of the plaza, at the corner of Honeycutt and White and Parker Roads.

Last year’s interest from another developer to establish a gated rental community adjacent to this new plaza remains in limbo, as the project has yet to be reviewed by the Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission.

As these developments unfold, they signal a growing interest in enhancing commercial and residential options in Maricopa, catering to the needs of a burgeoning population.
