Phoenix-based Press Coffee has made headlines with its recent purchase of a coffee estate in Panama. Established in 2008, Press Coffee continues to prioritize high-quality specialty coffee, and this acquisition strengthens its commitment to a farm-to-cup philosophy.
Co-owner Jason Kyle expressed enthusiasm about the new estate, noting, “This coffee estate marks a significant milestone for our company. It helps us expand our commitment to quality, sustainability, and deepen our connection to the farm.” He emphasized the estate’s potential to produce richer and more distinctive coffee varieties.
The newly acquired estate is located in the Volcan Valley of western Panama, renowned for its unique terroir and high elevations that yield exceptional coffee beans. Nestled near the Barú volcano, the estate benefits from ancient volcanic soil enriched by recent eruptions. Covering 70 hectares, it sits at altitudes between 1,800 to 2,300 meters, creating an ideal environment for coffee cultivation.
Customers can expect to find Press Estate beans available at all Phoenix metro locations, both on tap at the café bar and in bags of whole beans. Additionally, the company plans to introduce limited-edition, single-origin offerings through its allocation coffee program, which will feature online availability on a quarterly basis.
With 13 standalone cafes and six locations inside Sprouts Farmers Markets across the Phoenix area, Press Coffee continues to make its mark in the specialty coffee scene.
