A new Goodwill thrift store is set to open at the Legacy on Porter retail development in Maricopa, according to public records obtained from InMaricopa. This project is located at the northeast corner of Porter and Applegate Roads.

Legacy Development Partners, based in Phoenix, has confirmed that the first phase will feature the Goodwill store, alongside a 6,500-square-foot retail space and a 2,500-square-foot drive-thru restaurant.

This announcement marks the first official tenant confirmation since updated plans were submitted in February. Previously, the proposal included mention of a “low-cost neighborhood market.”

The Goodwill store will occupy 25,000 square feet, complete with a drop-off zone and a large entrance on its western wall. The drive-thru restaurant is designed to include a pick-up window and outdoor seating options.

While the second retail space remains unnamed, it will feature a large storefront, a primary entry canopy, and multiple tenant entries. Despite not naming additional tenants yet, the developer has a history of collaborations with well-known retailers and restaurants, including Panera Bread, Chipotle, Shake Shack, T.J. Maxx, and Hobby Lobby.
