City Unveils Stunning Concept Art for New Sports Fieldhouse
The City of Maricopa has unveiled conceptual renderings for a newly proposed sports fieldhouse, which is set to take the place of the existing Maricopa Police Department Substation. This facility will be located at the southeast corner of Bowlin Road and Greythorn Drive, adjacent to the Copper Sky Recreational Complex.
These renderings were released shortly after the Maricopa Police Department officially opened its new, larger station at the City Center earlier this year. Quinn Konold, a city spokesperson, explained that the fieldhouse project is still in the design phase. The current substation will be repurposed for administrative and storage purposes, while a new building will be constructed in connection with the existing structure.
The proposed facility aims to replace the current impound lot at the rear of the substation along M.L.K Jr. Boulevard. If developed, the new building would offer extensive space for indoor activities. The design plans include courts lined for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, ensuring the fieldhouse accommodates a variety of sports and recreation.
According to officials, the fieldhouse is planned as a pre-engineered metal building featuring panels in attractive desert color tones and patterns. Chasse Building Team, BWS Architects, and Studio8 will handle the design and construction of this significant addition to the community.
It is important to note that these renderings and plans are conceptual and could undergo changes as the project progresses, as emphasized by Konold.
