City Seeks Your Voice Before Selling More Land for Industrial Triangle Expansion
Maricopa is set to discuss a significant land sale that could shape the future of its industrial landscape. During the upcoming city council meeting on October 1, officials will solicit community feedback on the potential sale of 116 acres located within the city’s southern boundaries, designated for development as the Maricopa Industrial Triangle.
The proposed industrial park currently spans 328 acres at the intersection of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and White and Parker Road. Notable tenants already committed to the area include Envision Waste Services and Prescott Composites.
Geographically, the new parcel is positioned west of the existing triangle, situated between Proposition 482’s Parcel H and the Pinal Feeding operation. It is important to note that this land was not included in the 728 acres sold under Proposition 482, which was approved by voters during the July primary election.
The city government is advocating for this land sale as a vehicle to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and enhance community and infrastructure development. City officials are inviting resident input, encouraging them to voice opinions either in person at the meeting or via email to City Clerk Vanessa Bueras.
This engagement reflects Maricopa’s commitment to inclusive governance as it prioritizes development strategies that aim to benefit the community economically.
