Chick-fil-A’s Arrival is Just Around the Corner: Insider Sources Reveal
Chick-fil-A is planning to establish a new restaurant in Maricopa, as revealed by a source familiar with discussions within the Arizona Commerce Authority. This follows the company’s previous expressions of interest in the city last year, although no concrete expansion plans were confirmed at that time.
The proposed site for the drive-thru will be situated along North John Wayne Parkway. InMaricopa has pinpointed a specific location within the Southbridge Marketplace that meets Chick-fil-A’s requirements for franchisees.
Chick-fil-A’s franchise approval process is notoriously competitive, with less than 1% of applicants granted the opportunity to open a location, according to CNBC. For those who do qualify, the franchise fee is relatively modest at $10,000.
The new Chick-fil-A will occupy Pad B in the second phase of the Southbridge commercial development, featuring a 3,500-square-foot building equipped with dual drive-thrus at the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue.
Typically, Chick-fil-A outlets range from 3,400 to 5,000 square feet in size, offering popular menu items such as waffle fries and fresh-squeezed lemonade while maintaining a six-day operating schedule.
Other confirmed businesses joining the Southbridge Marketplace include Lowe’s Home Improvement, which is currently under construction, as well as Panera Bread, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Five Guys, Club Pilates, Pacific Dental Services, and European Wax Center.
Additionally, a Trulieve cannabis dispensary is expected to open nearby early next month.
