Chick-fil-A Dominates Southbridge Survey with Claw-Some Results
In a recent poll conducted by InMaricopa, Chick-fil-A has emerged as the favorite upcoming business among local readers in Maricopa, Texas.
Out of 1,357 responses, 625 participants, or 46%, expressed their enthusiasm for the fast-food chain known for “The Original Chicken Sandwich.”
Chick-fil-A plans to establish a restaurant at Southbridge Marketplace, positioned adjacent to a new Lowe’s Home Improvement currently under construction. This location is along Honeycutt Avenue and John Wayne Parkway, as confirmed by sources familiar with conversations from the Arizona Commerce Authority.
In statements made last year, Chick-fil-A indicated a strong interest in Maricopa, hinting at plans for a new outlet. The proposed site measures 3,500 square feet and includes dual drive-thrus, aligning with the design specifications the franchise typically requires.
According to industry insiders, Chick-fil-A locations usually range between 3,400 and 5,000 square feet, boasting their signature offerings such as waffle fries and fresh-squeezed lemonade, and operating six days a week.
Following Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread secured second place in the poll with 311 votes, representing 23% of the total. Einstein Bros. Bagels took third with 201 votes, or 15% of participants’ selection.
Five Guys garnered 151 votes, amounting to 11%, while Club Pilates, the city’s first of its kind, received 43 votes, or 3%. The bottom positions were shared by Pacific Dental Services and European Wax Center, with just 12 votes each.
Thompson Thrift, the developer behind the Stonebridge shopping center, recently unveiled a leasing map indicating proposed locations for these new businesses, solidifying the plans for Chick-fil-A at Pad B within the marketplace.
