Celebrate Earth Day in Carefree

Carefree Earth Day Celebration Promises Fun and Education

The Carefree Earth Day Celebration is set for Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the beautiful Carefree Desert Gardens. This event welcomes families and individuals looking to engage with nature and learn about environmental conservation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with wildlife through live encounters featuring mini ponies, birds, and rattlesnakes. Experts will provide insights into Arizona’s diverse ecosystem and share ways to protect its wildlife and habitats.

The event features a range of interactive activities, including prize wheels, crafts, sensory exploration, and even karate board breaking. Local conservation groups will present exciting exhibits that inspire sustainability and environmental stewardship.

A highlight of the day will include appearances by Smokey Bear, promoting wildfire prevention, along with various regional organizations focused on preserving natural spaces. Sustainability exhibitors will offer practical advice on minimizing waste and conserving resources. To enhance the experience, live performances from the Jubilate Conservatory of Music will create a festive atmosphere.

Additionally, a Carefree Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt will run throughout the gardens, providing a fun way for families to explore the venue. This event is designed not just as a celebration but as an educational opportunity for all ages to understand and appreciate the environment.
