Cave Creek Welcomes Fresh Face to Leadership Team

On September 9, 2024, Carla Reece, the Administrative Services Director, administered the Oath of Office to Cynthia Driskell. Driskell has been appointed as a new Council Member, serving until December 2, 2024.

In a meeting on September 16, 2024, the Town Council approved several key agreements and initiatives aimed at enhancing local services and infrastructure. They authorized the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the League of Oregon Cities. This agreement is mandated by the NPPGov Purchasing Cooperative.

As part of this cooperative agreement, the Council approved the purchase of a Freightliner Fire Water Tanker, featuring a 3000-gallon tank and a 1000 gallon per minute pump, for a total cost of up to $436,556. The Town Manager will execute this National Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with FOUTS Bros, Inc., based in Milledgeville, GA.

Additionally, the Council sanctioned a contract with API, General Contractors, for the construction of the Cave Creek Memorial Arena and Rodeo Grounds SKYBOX Project. The contract is set for an amount up to $595,000, and staff is authorized to make necessary fund transfers for project implementation.

A Sole Source Agreement with Ferguson Waterworks was also approved for the acquisition of Neptune Metering equipment and software. This agreement, valued at up to $500,000 for the next three years, reflects the Town’s ongoing investment in essential services.
