Cave Creek Museum’s Kiwanis Family Day presents Wildlife Watchers

The Cave Creek Museum is set to host Wildlife Watchers, an engaging event organized in partnership with the Kiwanis Family Day, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2-4 PM.

This informative occasion will feature six interactive stations established by the Desert Awareness Committee, allowing children to learn about the diverse life within the Sonoran Desert. Participants will have the opportunity to rotate through these stations, deepening their understanding of desert flora and fauna.

Kathy Dwyer, executive director of the museum, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “How well do you know our desert wildlife? Where do these creatures live? Who are the predators, and who are the prey? This event is not only educational but also fun, offering a hands-on experience.” Attendees will explore whether desert inhabitants are carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores and even learn how to identify them through their tracks.

Experts from both the Desert Awareness Committee and the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center will facilitate the learning experience, guiding participants through the fascinating world of desert ecosystems.

Importantly, this workshop is offered free of charge, thanks to the generous support of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree.
