Our Lady of Grace Church in Maricopa is gearing up for its most anticipated event of the year, set to take place from May 2 to 4. This community festival promises an array of attractions, including carnival rides, concessions, a craft fair, a silent auction, and more.

After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the festival successfully returned last year, marking a significant milestone for the church. Located at 18700 N. St. Gabriel Way, the event aims to support various church programs and charitable efforts.

Alyson Cooney, the festival chairperson, emphasized its community spirit: “It’s not just a parish event. We invite the entire community of Maricopa and surrounding areas. There’s something for everybody.” Festivities will include safe carnival rides and game booths, provided by Sun Valley Rides, along with diverse culinary offerings.

Local artists will grace the stage, featuring performances from Freddie Duran, Old Men’s Garage Band (OMG), and Tadd Johnson, who will play popular country and rock music. Additionally, adult beverage vendors will serve a selection of beers, spirits, and wine pulls.

The festival will also host a car show and various raffles, with donations encouraged to benefit the local food bank.

Event hours are as follows:

  • Friday, May 2: 4 to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 3: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 4: Noon to 8 p.m.

Pre-sale carnival ride tickets are $25 each, valid for one day, and will increase to $30 during the event. Tickets can be purchased at the parish office during the week and after weekend Masses.
