Vote here for the Game of the Week for Week 9 of Friday Night Fever's 35th season!

PHOENIX — As the excitement builds for high school football in Arizona, fans will take part in selecting this week’s Game of the Week for Friday Night Fever, a staple in local sports programming.

This initiative empowers viewers, allowing them to vote for the game that will receive the spotlight on the show, which has been on-air for 35 seasons.

Last week’s highlight featured a tightly contested match between No. 4 ALA-Queen Creek and No. 7 Red Mountain, culminating in a 16-14 victory for Red Mountain. This win marks them as the last undefeated team in 6A.

Now, three matchups have been nominated for the Week 9 Game of the Week:

Combs at Arcadia

In Phoenix, the undefeated Arcadia Titans, currently ranked No. 4 in 4A, will face the Combs Coyotes. Arcadia boasts a perfect 7-0 record, having triumphed over opponents like Glendale and Camelback. In contrast, the 5-2 Combs Coyotes, ranked No. 15 in 4A, started strong but lost two recent matches after a four-game winning streak.

This matchup marks the fifth encounter between the two schools, with Arcadia leading the series 3-1.

Paradise Valley at Raymond S. Kellis

Glendale will host a 5A Central Valley region battle as the Paradise Valley Trojans take on the Raymond S. Kellis Cougars. Paradise Valley stands at 4-3, having rebounded with three consecutive wins following a rough patch. Meanwhile, Kellis, with a 6-1 record, aims to maintain their momentum after securing multiple decisive victories this season.

Antelope Union at Tonopah Valley

Just west of the Valley, the Tonopah Valley Phoenix will host the Antelope Union Rams in a crucial 2A Gila region matchup. Tonopah, holding a perfect 9-0 record, has dominated their opponents throughout the season. Antelope Union, also performing admirably at 6-2, looks to leverage their recent success against a formidable Tonopah side.

This game represents the 14th meeting between these two teams, with Tonopah leading the series 7-6.

Fans can now cast their votes for their preferred matchup by participating in the poll available online until Thursday at 10 a.m. The winning game will be announced during the Friday Night Fever Game of the Week Reveal Show, streaming at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The anticipation for Friday night football is palpable, and supporters are encouraged to tune in as they cheer for their local teams.
