Car crashes into Meadows garage

A two-car collision occurred in the Maricopa Meadows community, resulting in an SUV crashing into a nearby garage on the afternoon of September 2, 2024. Emergency services were dispatched to the 45800 block of West Windmill Drive shortly before 12:30 p.m., as confirmed by Phoenix Regional Dispatch.

According to Maricopa Police Department spokesperson Monica Williams, a white Honda Civic was reversing out of a driveway when it was struck by a Volkswagen SUV. The force of the impact caused the SUV to collide with a house directly across the street.

This incident inflicted damage on the garage door and two parked vehicles. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. Police officials have indicated that impairment does not appear to have played a role in the crash.

The situation highlights ongoing concerns about traffic safety in residential areas. Local authorities continue to monitor traffic patterns to improve safety measures.
