The incident occurred around 10 p.m., prompting a swift response from Chandler police and fire crews. The crash ignited both the vehicle and the pole, complicating efforts to manage the situation.
Salt River Project (SRP) reported that nearly 7,000 customers were initially without power due to the accident. By 10:30 p.m., the number had decreased to approximately 1,300 customers still experiencing outages, according to SRP.
