Burn Victims of Fireworks Explosion Airlifted to Arizona for Critical Treatment

Hawaii’s Governor, John Green, announced that up to six patients injured in a New Year’s Eve fireworks explosion will be transported to Arizona for medical treatment.

The explosion, which occurred in a Honolulu neighborhood, has resulted in three fatalities and numerous injuries. Reports indicate that the blast was so intense it shattered windows across the street from the site.

Valleywise Health confirmed that the injured individuals will be taken to the Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center, one of the largest facilities specializing in burn treatment in the United States.
