LAUGHLIN — A brush fire ignited Monday morning shortly before 11:30 a.m. on the Nevada side of the Colorado River, specifically in the Big Bend area. As of 12:06 p.m., the blaze remained active, and initial reports suggest possible arson as a contributing factor.

The Mohave Valley Daily News has deployed reporters to monitor the situation from both the Arizona and Nevada banks of the river. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
