Breakthrough Technology Empowers and Supports Crime Victims
The Phoenix Police Department introduced a new customer service tool on August 6, aimed at enhancing support for crime victims. This initiative, developed in collaboration with SPIDR Tech, focuses on keeping individuals informed throughout the police service process.
Now, when individuals call 911 or the non-emergency number from their cellphones, they will receive a text message confirming their call. Upon the call’s completion by an officer, a report number will be provided, along with a mobile-friendly survey to gather feedback on the service received.
Furthermore, the department has overhauled its victim-centered webpage. This revamped portal allows victims to track the status of their cases and sign up for alerts regarding investigation updates. For those who prefer more traditional communication methods, phone calls and emails remain available options.
