Brandon Sanchez Shatters Expectations with 4-Goal Performance, Claims Player of the Week Title
Pima Community College’s men’s soccer standout, Brandon Sanchez, has made headlines for his remarkable performance during the week of September 8-14. The sophomore midfielder, hailing from Canyon del Oro High School, was instrumental in leading the Aztecs to an impressive tally of 14 goals.
Sanchez’s exceptional play earned him the title of ACCAC Division II Player of the Week. He showcased his scoring prowess with four goals, highlighted by a hat trick in a dominant 11-2 victory over South Mountain Community College. Additionally, he opened the scoring in a solid 3-0 win against Glendale Community College.
Throughout the season, Sanchez has started in all five games, amassing five goals and two assists, totaling 12 points. The No. 4-ranked Aztecs are poised to continue their campaign when they face off against No. 2 Phoenix College this Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
